Being the capital and with 13% of the UK population all living within one city, London has a vast number of firms of solicitors across its boroughs. So much choice is not necessarily a good thing though and you would be wise to drop any idea that all firms of solicitors are as good as the next firm. Alas, this is far from the case. The level of service that you can expect to receive from a solicitor in London is going to vary more than you would ever imagine. SW19 is well known as being an affluent part of London. As a general rule of thumb, where there’s brass there are firms of solicitors and this is certainly no exception where Wimbledon is concerned. A solicitor in Surrey is usually able to cater for and provide help with any area of law; be this from personal injury claims, right through to complicated immigration cases. If I am being completely honest, Wimbledon solicitors may not be the cheapest firms that you will find, however, having said that, as with anything else in life, you do usually get what you pay for. Wimbledon solicitors have a very good reputation and, in fact, there are circumstances where you may still be able to rely on the services of these solicitors through no win no fee contracts. Your main worry is that the other ex-partner is going to pull out all of the stops and ensure they secure a real ‘blood-sucking’ solicitor that is going to milk you for all that you’re worth. First and foremost, any good divorce lawyer should not go down this road. Yes, they should certainly protect the interests of their client and make sure the final result is not arbitrarily to their detriment, but they should also try to keep proceedings as amicable as possible. With this in mind, never, ever allow divorce solicitors in Worcestershire , or anywhere else for that matter, to bully you into taking action that you do not feel comfortable with. It is always so unfortunate that divorces can end up so nasty and a lot of the time, this will solely be as a result of over zealous legal professionals. (more...) Though medical insurance is provided by the government in the UK, motorists must obtain their own auto insurance through a private company. The law has been in place since 1930, when it was decided that every person who operates a motor vehicle on UK roads and highways must have at least third party automobile insurance. The reason why motorists are required to have insurance is fairly simple. In short, it protects against damage to personal property (vehicles) and covers liability for injuries that may be sustained in a crash. The Government has now gone even further in this regard and there is a strong possibility that these no win no fee companies may become a thing of the past in the future as legislation is being planned to curtail their activities. There will always have to be certain areas of law that must be covered under legal aid. As much as the Government would like to cut back on legal matters such as criminal representation and employment law advice, the citizens of this country must always have a right to free assistance in this regard, if they are unable to afford it themselves. (more...) Obviously, there will always be aspects of the legal system that are welcome to us, be this consumer law that protects our rights as a customer or employment law advice when our employer takes action that we believe to be unlawful. However, there are certain aspects of the legal system where people feel it should not intervene at all. At the top of this list, for many people, is the right to end your own life. After all, people will argue that we put an animal to sleep to prevent it from suffering, so why can we not hope to receive assistance from a loved one to end our own pain?
